Giving
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Dean McGee Eye Institute (DMEI)! For nearly 50 years, donors like you have been a driving force in our mission to serve all Oklahomans and the global community through excellence and leadership in patient care, education, and vision research.
Since our founding, contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations have played a critical role in enabling DMEI to be on the cutting-edge of research, provide world-class patient care, and educate the next generation of ophthalmologists.

Endowments
An endowment provides a permanent source of support for the Institute. Endowment funds are invested and a portion of the income from these funds is used to further DMEI’s mission in perpetuity. Endowed funds can be named and offer an excellent way to honor a loved one. Endowed faculty positions to recruit and retain exceptional clinicians and scientists or endowed funds to help underwrite vision research are two types of endowments that have a significant long-term impact on the Institute and those we serve. Please contact our Development Office at 405.271.7803 if you are interested in creating an endowment. We would love to help you realize your vision.
Legacy Gifts
Sometimes, an outright gift might not be a donor’s best option. Planned gifts can allow a donor to make a larger gift than he or she thought possible while also taking advantage of significant tax benefits. Some planned gifts even provide an income stream to the donor or a loved one. Learn more about planned giving possibilities by visiting our Planned Giving page.
