Dean McGee Eye Institute Announces Appointment of New Cornea and External Disease Specialist
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Dean McGee Eye Institute (DMEI) announced the appointment of cornea and external disease specialist Jennifer Lee Wu, M.D., to the Institute as a clinician and surgeon and to the University of Oklahoma Department of Ophthalmology as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
“The cornea is the window of the eye, and the Dean McGee Eye Institute is known for recruiting top corneal specialists to care for the people of Oklahoma and the surrounding region. Dr. Wu’s outstanding credentials make her an ideal addition to our Dean McGee corneal team,” said Gregory L. Skuta, MD, DMEI President and CEO and Edward L. Gaylord Professor and Chair of the OU Department of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Wu joins the Dean McGee Eye Institute from the Doheny Eye Institute/University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, where she completed her residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in cornea and external disease. She was an ophthalmologist at the Los Angeles County and USC Medical Center and a clinical ophthalmology instructor with Keck Medical Center of USC.
A native of New York, Dr. Wu earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Yale College and her medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. She completed an internship in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Wu sees patients at the DMEI’s Oklahoma Health Center facility in Oklahoma City.
