Visiting Lecturer Series

Distinguished Visiting Lecturers

At the Dean McGee Eye Institute (DMEI)/University of Oklahoma (OU) Department of Ophthalmology, we know the value of continual learning and the sharing of new ideas and best practices. That is why multiple times a year we bring leaders in the field of ophthalmology to DMEI to present to our residents, fellows, faculty, and the broader ophthalmic community in Oklahoma. These distinguished lecturers present not only to the entire group of physicians, but also spend several hours lecturing the residents in a more intimate format. In a rotating fashion, residents also participate in smaller social groups for dinner with visiting faculty. This series has brought in some of the most influential and well-known ophthalmologists in the country to share their expertise.

The distinguished visiting lecturer series includes the named Tullos O. Coston Lecture, Walter J. Stark Memorial Lecture, and the Robert E. Anderson, MD, PhD Lecture, plus three to five additional lectures endowed by the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma. Upcoming and recent distinguished lecturers are shown below.
