Bio
Dr. Newton grew up in Cherokee, Oklahoma, earning her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Oklahoma Baptist University and her master of science degree in organic chemistry from Colorado State University. In the spring of 2024, she earned her doctor of optometry degree from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUOCO.) During her time at NSUOCO, she was the inaugural recipient of the Mary Stratton Optometry Scholarship, which is awarded to an optometry student with one or more children living at home. In 2021, Dr. Newton received the Class of 2024 Outstanding Student Award from NSUOCO.
