Bio

Matthew S. Chorost, MD, from Moore/Norman, earned his undergraduate degree (microbiology) as well as his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, followed by an internship and ophthalmology residency at the National Capital Consortium/Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

An Army major, he has been Chief of Ophthalmology at Carl Darnall Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas, since 2023. Dr. Chorost has taught ocular trauma surgery to residents at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, and has precepted medical students from military programs as well as medical students from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Chorost and his wife have two young daughters.
