The Stephenson Refractive Surgery Center, which has expert physicians, superior technology, and extensive research data is the home of the LASIK eye surgery program at the Dean McGee Eye Institute.
Located in Oklahoma City, the center was established in 1996 by the Institute with a grant from Charles and Peggy Stephenson. The Institute was involved in early research and laser refractive surgery and decided to move into providing the surgery in a state-of-the art center
The model at the Stephenson Refractive Surgery Center is one that is built on the expertise of its physicians and their dedication to quality patient care. All Institute refractive surgery specialists are board-certified ophthalmologists and are faculty in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. The physicians also are certified in the newest LASIK surgery procedures.
